Mark accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in May of 1978, here at First Bible Baptist Church. Mark and his wife Patty have called FBBC “home” for ever since. His love for athletics and children has seen him involved in ministering through sports almost from the time he came.
Mark has directed Grace & Truth Athletics, First Bible’s sports and recreation outreach ministry, since its inception, ministering to the Greater Rochester and Greece community through sixteen different sports venues. These include sports camps, leagues ad special events. G&T Athletics has expanded its outreach around the world through short term “sports missions” trips to Botswana and Zambia, Africa, to Ukraine, Israel and Guatemala. He has also traveled internationally through sports with other organizations. In the United States, Mark and others in G&T Athletics have traveled to assist other churches in setting up their own Christ-centered sports ministries.
Mark also teaches Bible classes at Northstar Christian Academy, and he has been teaching and/or coaching in the Department of Physical Education and in athletics at Roberts Wesleyan College since 1994. He and Patty have four adult children, Jonathan, Ryan, Julieann and Michelle. Mark’s son, Michael and wife Jennifer have two sons, Jacob and Devin. |
