Information: I'm Rochester born and raised, and a part of FBBC since childhood. I was led to Christ in May 1977 after an assembly at Northstar Christian Academy. I attended Northstar for all but one year of my education, graduating in 1988. I thank God for parents who sacrificed much to send me to NCA. Truly I am blessed for having had a God-centered education. I attended SUNY Brockport, pursuing a degree in English, and graduated in 1993. That's right, I was able to cram a 4 year degree into 5 and a half years. Of course, switching majors from Biology to English will do that. Now, I have a B.S. in English. Don't even... In June 1992 I married my wife Sandy here at FBBC. We have two children, Connor (11) and Leigh (8). Both attend Northstar. Sandy is also a Northstar graduate. From 1994-96 I worked with New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms (NYCF) and New Yorkers' Family Research Foundation (NYFRF), helping to represent the Christian worldview and godly principles to our state government in Albany. While working there I cut my teeth in desktop publishing, having to lay out a monthly newspaper for the organization. Hi-lights: working with and learning a lot from Duane & Nancy Motley. Lows: going to Albany every....single....week. In 1997 I left NYCF and joined Greater Rochester Youth for Christ (YFC), a local chapter of the national organization begun by Billy Graham in the 1950s. The organization was geared to reach the broad cross section of teenagers in our area through a number of means. While there, I broadened my desktop and creative design talents somewhat. The best part of working for YFC was seeing what God is doing in other churches in our community and other Christians' lives, and working with Christians from many different backgrounds. I joined the First Bible Baptist Church staff in a part-time capacity in 1999-2000, to undertake the oversight of the new Video Ministry. In 2002, I joined the staff full-time when my predecessor left the position of in-house designer. I "wear" two hats really, as a graphic designer and as a video designer. This ministry I'm blessed to be in is a lot of fun, and a lot of work. By the way, the fact I'm here is an answer to prayer. Well, my prayer, anyway. Years ago, while working at NYCF, I specifically asked the Lord for this job - that if it ever "opened up" that He would make a way for me to occupy it, and that He would see that I get the training I need to get here. So, whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed, I take comfort in the fact that the God who answered my prayer then, is more than able to help me now. What a privilege to serve the King!
