Pastor Mike Metzger, a native of Rochester, NY was saved June 15, 1971 through the ministry of his girlfriend (and future wife) Louise, and First Bible Baptist Church.
In 1976 Pastor Metzger attended Northstar Bible Institute, a ministry of FBBC. In 1979 he moved to Auburn, NY to begin his first full-time ministry position as the Youth Pastor. Being led of God, he moved back to Rochester in the summer of 1981 and joined the staff as Associate Youth Pastor. In 1982, he became the Youth Pastor and remained in this position until the fall of 1993. Under the direction of Pastor George Grace, Pastor Mike was asked to become the Associate Pastor of the church, and became Pastor Grace’s right hand man. In this position he primarily gives Biblical counsel to individuals and families. Pastor Mike's responsibilities include helping in these areas: premarital, marriage, family, crisis/grief, youth/teen, etc. Pastor Mike also teaches in the Bible institute and at Northstar Christian Academy.
Pastor Mike has been married to his wife Louise since February 2, 1974. They have two sons, Darren and Jordan. |
