We will be hosting a BBQ picnic for anyone in their 20’s or 30’s and a separate event for anyone in their 40’s or 50’s. Married or single, all are welcome! Even if one of the spouses’ age falls outside of that age group they can still come.
Our desire is to create an opportunity for people in our church to connect. This small group format will help facilitate that very thing. This will be a fun afternoon centered around great fellowship and some good food! Taste of Texas will be catering the event. The cost will be $5 per person, with a dish-to-pass. Couples only need to bring one item.
We also want to introduce others to FBBC, so visitors will be free, and do not have to bring a dish. But to keep the atmosphere one in which we can focus on individuals on not on the masses, we are asking that you only invite one person each. In other words, a couple can bring two people, and an individual can bring one person. That way you have a better opportunity to spend your time with your guest.
You can sign up at the South Welcome Center. We are asking for two things when you do so. First, sign-up next to the food item you want to bring. Second, please pay at that time. It will relieve us of having to worry about collecting money at the picnic.
Dress is casual but please keep modesty in mind. Bring your lawn chair. Bring a guest. And plan on having a great time! The sign-up and payment deadline is Wednesday, July 28 for the 20’s & 30’s and Aug. 11 for the 40’s & 50’s. Put this fun event on your calendar and bring someone along to enjoy the day! |
