New Yorker's Legislative Day is the largest one day conference held in the State Convention Center each year. This year’s theme is “Counter Punch" and if ever there was a time when we needed the touch of God to heal our state – it is now!  With legislation pending that would expand abortion laws and sanction same-sex marriage we need God to turn the hearts of New Yorkers toward Himself.

At Legislative Day you will have the opportunity to meet your State Senator and Member of Assembly, receive legislative updates from Duane Motley, Tom Stiles and Jason McGuire, tour the Capitol, teach your children about civic responsibility and be challenged by dynamic speakers.

This year's keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Jim Garlow, Senior Pastor, Skyline Church. Dr. Jim Garlow, author, communicator, commentator, historian, cultural observer and Senior Pastor of Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego, CA, is heard daily on over 800 radio outlets nationwide in his one minute historical commentary called “The Garlow Perspective.”  In addition he airs a 30 minute broadcast called “The Garlow Perspective Special.”

Reasons to Believe
Written by FBBC
Thursday, 21 January 2010
ImageEvery day brings us opportunities to testify of the greatness of our God.  If we do, the response may be anything from positive to hostile to plain disinterest.  Sometimes it may bring a question:  “Do you really believe the Bible?”  “Why are all these bad things happening?” “How can you say there’s only one way to heaven?”  Knowing what we believe and why, is vital for us to impact our culture.

Beginning Feb. 14, a 24 week series of 1-hour Sunday evening lessons will cover these and many other topics. We’ll hear sound, well reasoned teaching from a variety of teachers, to strengthen our faith and our testimony.  A casual atmosphere is planned, with our Café First open before and after the 6:00 PM service.  You can hang around afterward to talk about the lesson or just fellowship and buy pizza to eat in the Commons!

Come and get fresh ammunition to engage in those spiritual battles victoriously!
