 One on One Discipleship is often referred to as Life on Life. It is the heart of one person ministering to the heart of someone else. It is reproducing yourself in another Christian, ideally in a Christlike way. Life on Life fulfills the command of 2 Timothy 2:2 "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."
This phase of Discipleship affords the individual several valuable advantages: -
Flexibility: the disciple and discipler can choose to meet at their convenience. There are no regularly scheduled classes to attend.

Personal friendship and mentoring: the disciple is given personal attention so that specific needs may be addressed.

A high level of accountability: those who need to be motivated properly can move forward much more quickly.

A fixed doctrinal curriculum: this assures that the disciple has a good foundation in basic Bible truths with the opportunity to ask pertinent or personal questions.

Home Bible Studies offer the disciple two key opportunities, establishment in the Word of God and fellowship. These two things are absolutely necessary for the Christian seeking to be involved at First Bible Baptist Church. There are several advantages in being involved with a Home Bible Study: -

A fixed curriculum, a start, and a finish, where one may experience a real sense of accomplishment.

Big Picture Bible Studies are appropriately named as they offer the disciple the Big Picture of God's dealings with man. This study offers the following: -
A panoramic view of Bible geography, history, personalities, and priorities

A clear introductory path to the Bible, Christianity, and biblical Discipleship

An informal atmosphere where one enjoys the advantage of small group fellowship and attention

A somewhat flexible schedule, in that the BPBS is offered at a variety of times

 North Star Bible Institute offers the disciple many opportunities for the serious student. Among them are:
- A higher education environment accompanied by greater expectations in disciple performance
- In-depth studies of books of the Bible, theology and related subject matter to prepare the disciple for leadership in ministry
- Group discussions that involve a broad variety of students, evaluating priorities in ministry and dissenting theological opinions
- Requirement of a high level of commitment which leads to leadership development and selection
The classes run in a 4 year rotation and can be taken one at a time or as many as the student wishes to take. |
