PRAISE: 1 Aya, Izumi's coworker, came over for pizza Friday. She seemed open when we shared the Gospel with her. 2 Four unsaved adults were at Friend Day today. The rain held off enough to allow us to grill the meat outside. 3 I had a good conversation about salvation with Kiyoko at lunch today. PRAYER: 1 June 28- English Night Outreach- ice cream party 2 June 29- Singles' meeting in the cafe 3 Continued wisdom for VBS prep (July 28-31) Your Missionary to Japan, Wendy Stiles
June 9, 2008 PRAISE: 1 The kids enjoyed the outing on Saturday even with some sprinkles of rain! Mike, a summer worker, gave a gospel presentation with Izumi translating. 2 Praise 2008, the annual combined worship service with six churches, went well yesterday with about 110 attending. PRAYER: 1 We have a sushi party Saturday for My Friend Kai (singles' group). 2 Pray for a Bible study Tom Carr will be doing with eight Joyful sounds choir members who expressed interest. Wendy Stiles June 2, 2008 PRAISE: 1 About 120 people attended the Joyful sounds concert last Sunday. 2 We successfully completed the school year! 3 The Joy Club lesson went well. PRAYER: 1 More than half of the Joyful Sounds choir members are unsaved. Pray that the words of the gospel songs they sang will continue to work in their hearts. 2 I'm teaching the Bible lessons for girls' group in June. 3 Pray for good weather on Saturday for the Joy Club outdoor activity.
