Dear Friends and Supporters,

Image
My brother Alex, Grandma, and me
This newsletter will be a little shorter than previous ones because it just happens to cover my time home on spring break. That is not saying that I sat around and did nothing the entire time—on the contrary, I think I was busier at home than I was on the road!

To start off, praise the Lord that I was able to work for a few weeks at the Grace and Truth Sportspark. I mainly worked on the baseball fields, daily preparing them for the G&T programs. That kept me busy and out of trouble, and also helped me to save funds for the future.

Aside from work, my grandmother who lives out in California, came to stay for a two-week visit. Since I see her maybe once every two years, I was grateful that I could catch up with her and tell her about many of the things that are happening in my life. We spent many nights around the table playing her new favorite card game, Phase 10, as well as various others. God again reminded me of the importance of family and how He uses all people in our lives to influence us.

At church I reacquainted myself with many of my friends as well as made some new ones. The Singles class is definitely growing in many ways under the leadership of Jeff Allen, and I was particularly blessed by this ministry. One Sunday, my brother and I were able to lead the singing in Singles. I was also able to share my testimony one Wednesday night in our main service, along with all the other Encounter team members from Rochester. I was excited to be able to tell what God has done, and is doing, in my life.

Something the Team was challenged to do by Ardy was to figure out ways to raise funds for the orphanage in India. On the suggestion of my mother, I was able to acquire some team CDs to sell at church to support BTM (Banjara Tribal Ministries). As a result, I was able to raise about $1000 dollars—all for the ministry in India. Praise the Lord!

Other than those highlights, I just spent my time helping around the house and doing various things for the family. I am anticipating these next two months at Mt. Lou San Bible Camp as a counselor, and am looking forward to what God is going to teach me. For all of you who continue to stay updated and are faithful in prayer, thank you. Your prayers mean so much to me, and even though we sometimes cannot see a direct answer, God is still working everything for the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose.

In Christ,

Ethan
