Dear friends,

It is good to be back in L'viv and busy in the service of our Lord.  It is hard to believe it has already been over a month since I returned.  Since being back I have dedicated much time to developing our summer focus ministry of Vacation Bible School.  During the weeks of July 28 - August 9 we plan to hold 3-day meetings in 4 different areas of L'viv, using the same theme for each location - The American Old West.  With a cowboy theme we will present two good guys, David and Jesus, who were wrongfully accused and pursued, but who were victorious in the end.  The first day of each meeting we will be blanketing the area with tracts and invitations and the other two days will be games, lessons, and the gospel presentation.  Please pray that each community allows us use of their local playground area and that the Lord will even now prepare hearts to hear and respond to the gospel.  

   

The last few weeks have seen a decline in the attendance of children in church, but we are encouraged by the amount of men that attending and the overall spirit of the people.  I have begun to teach a Junior church service with the children, most of who are missionary kids.  It has been nice to speak without a translator, and I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with the missionary children in encouraging them to be bold for Christ, following the example of several young people in the Bible.  We are focusing on learning many new verses and the books of the Bible. 

   

The baseball season has finally ended and I am glad for the break.  Though the turnout this spring was a little disappointing I think we can bounce back and have a good fall season and even better time next year.  Tim Miller, the local director of Little League, is another evengelical missionary and will be going home on furlough this month.  I have agreed to be interim director in his absence.  I ask gor your prayers as I try to keep things flowing and organized.

   

While I was in the states this spring I bought a new computer, and in the process of transfering data from my old computer I lost all of my e-mail contact addresses that I had stored.  If you are getting this letter through the website prayer mailings and not from me personally and would like me to add you to my list please reply or let me know your address.  If you know someone who usually gets my mailing let them know also.  I will try to get everyone back into my system as soon as possible.  I apologize for the problem and the delay in my monthly letter. 

   

It was great to see so many of you while I was back in April.   The Mission's Conference was a great blessing.  I was thrilled to present my ministry and it was exciting for me to see the new families that have answered God's call to spread the gospel across the globe.  I met many new people and forged new friendships.  Thank you so much for the prayer, encouragement, and support.  May God bless you and keep you in His care.
