There are several reasons we believe in membership of a local, Bible believing church:

• It produces spiritual growth by accountability.
• It defines who can be counted on. We want every member to be a minister.
• It is an antidote to our society. We live in an age where few want to be committed to anything.

There are three requirements for a person to become a member at FBBC.

• A salvation experience — They have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Their faith is not in a church, good works, or anything other than the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
• Baptism by immersion — Following our Lords command, they have been baptized after salvation and by immersion. This is an outward show of their inward belief of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
• Completion of Membership 101 Class — This class is designed to help a person become familiar with FBBC. We believe in an “educated consumer,” that is, knowing who we are and what we expect from you as a member. This is a class taught on three consecutive Sundays from 11:30am -12:50pm several times a year. This class will provide you with a 48 page notebook explaining what we believe, why we exist, and how to fulfill our purpose.
