Dear Fellow Laborers,

“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

Praise the Lord we have celebrated our first full year on the field! We have been through some hardships, and we have definitely learned the meaning of patience, but the Lord has been gracious throughout, and for that we are truly thankful. It has been a joy to see souls saved, and people learning the Word of God, serious in their interest.

I am finished teaching I and II Corinthians, and it was a pleasure to see the students’ zeal in learning about grace giving. It was a new concept to them, and it made them excited to see the Lord prove His faithfulness.

The ministry with Katlehong Deaf School has been much improved. Jehovah’s Witnesses still have a strong hold there, but I pray the students will continue to be open when we come there to share God’s Word. I am thankful that the principal and the others on staff are very open to our presence and even encourage the students to attend our meetings. It’s a true blessing.

The Deaf Church in Katlehong continues to go well. We have an average of 15-I7 people. I have been preaching and teaching for the whole month of October. I focused on baptism, as we will have a special service together with Bro. Radebaugh’s church in Chloorkop on November 16th for those who wish to follow the Lord in Baptism. The Deaf Church of Pretoria will also join us. We have four of our church people who desire to be baptized. Please pray for them to continue to follow the Lord in obedience, and for others to join them in the special service.

Please begin to pray now for our plans to host a Deaf Camp in April 2009. We will focus on children ages 13-19.  We will be partnering with Liberty Baptist Church of the Deaf in Columbus, Ohio. They are bringing over a team to help counsel and assist with the camp. The purpose is to evangelize these teens and make sure they know where they will spend eternity. The theme for the week will be “LOST”. We are looking forward to what is sure to be an exciting and challenging time.

Bro. Michael Radebaugh’s trial was yesterday. They have again postponed until January 21. We are hoping it will be over at that time, as they have allotted three days in the courtroom to him. That should be enough time to finish with witnesses etc. We are praying it will be the last of it for him. Though he continues to be comforted and patient, it is trying. Satan needs to be loosed in this situation. Please continue to pray for him and all involved.

We wish you all God’ best during the upcoming holidays. We will celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s here with our Deaf friends, and missionary friends. Thank you once again for your continued prayers and support. May God continue to lead us all in the year to come.

Your Servant for Jesus’ Sake,
