Hi All!
Thanks for your prayers!

As you know from my last letter, I fell and injured my shoulder. God took a fluke of an accident to draw my attention to a more serious problem. The x-rays that were taken at the time of my fall show a weakened bone structure in my shoulder area. I had some other tests taken to rule out osteoporosis. Everything shows that the weakness is localized in one spot. Therefore, my doctor has drawn the conclusion that I have a tumor of some sort. We won't know anything more conclusively without more invasive tests.

Anyhow, this has kind of sent my life into a whirl. I am working through all the insurance paperwork and trying to get a second opinion, per the request of my family and on the advice of numerous other people. When all of this is done, I will probably need to have a biopsy to see the extent of the problem, and then have surgery to remove the tumor.

In the meantime, I am trying to keep up in school. We don't have a full staff of teachers let alone substitutes. So, I know that my missing school makes things tight in a lot of areas. Only having a left arm to use has forced me to rely on the help of my students in many areas. What a great way to open doors of ministry to the students in ways that I would not have suspected!

Through all of this, I have been so thankful for the Lord's presence and the sense of peace that He has provided. From the time I fell, the Lord brought scripture to my heart and comforted me with His promises to care for me. Then, with each step of the process, He has brought just the right people to help me out at every turn. From my friend Hayley's mom quoting scripture with me during my intense pain after my fall to people dropping off meals at my front door, I have been blessed beyond measure by the Pinares community, and also by the people at the church I am attending here. They are all helping to take care of me!

In even greater measure, I have seen God's hand through this time. I was able to testify of God's perfect protection to my doctor as he told me that because of the weakened condition of my shoulder, the bone should have shattered with any trauma. Yet, God allowed a small accident to happen to draw attention to this area of my body without having even a break in the bone at all. How amazing He is!

Also, I was able to testify of the perfect peace of God to my sister.
She cannot grasp that as she does not know Him personally. My hope is that she will desire that peace for herself and come  to know Him as Savior and Lord!

My greatest prayer is that God will be glorified through all of this.
Please pray with me to that end.

Because of Calvary,
Jenny
