In the past month we have traveled 5,300 miles and spent about 100 hours driving in the van! It is amazing to think that after that much travel a family could feel so refreshed, but that is exactly where we find ourselves right now. Even with all the traveling and obstacles, Erika and I are enjoying deputation and the wonderful opportunities it brings.

Since our last letter we have met many wonderful people. We have learned so much from pastors and fellow missionaries and have been in some great churches. It is exciting to report that we have now received commitments for over 50% of the support needed to move us from deputation to the field. God has been doing some supernatural things for which only He can get the credit.

For example, at one church the pastor told us that they only take on one new missionary a year to support. There were already a handful of missionaries in front of us so the possibility of us being chosen by this church for support was not likely. After presenting our work and ministering that day, the pastor informed us that his church will be taking us on as their missionary for this year!
