Greetings from Kafulafuta Baptist Mission, Zambia. Just getting settled after one week in Africa. Is great to see many friends and fellow laborers in the Lord. We are beginning a transition as more Zambian men are moving into greater leadership roles. Bible Institute has started with six subjects being taught. Currently 11 students are enrolled in our 3 year training program. We are currently working on enrolling more students to train and send out as laborers for the harvest. I was given the opportunity to preach at Kafulafuta Bible Baptist Church on Sunday (Jan 20th) – had two men come to the place of repentance and faith in God through Christ Jesus. The whole church rejoiced as these men have been quite unresponsive for some time – always a thrill to see men enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Rains are very heavy so far this year – two provinces are completely soaked. The government has declared an emergency for these two areas with bridges being washed out, many roads are impassable, and many people stranded because of overflowing rivers or just standing water. Crops are expected to fail all across Zambia this year causing an overall emergency and possible famine coupled with the likelihood of cholera/dysentery.
Pray for the following:
Take care and Lord bless
