We have Awana clubs for ages three up to the sixth grade that meets on Wednesday nights throughout the school year\, September through May. The purpose of this ministry is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. Our special guest\, Dr. Tim Lee\, will highlight our Day of Valor by speaking in both morning services. \nIn 1971 while serving in the United States Marine Corps in South Vietnam\, Tim Lee and his men were doing a routine mine sweep in southeast Asia. In a dramatic\, life-changing moment\, Lee stepped on a 60-pound land mine that ripped both his legs from his body. He had only 30 days remaining to serve in Vietnam. Instead of quitting or becoming bitter\, God used this major event in Tim’s life to propel him into a ministry that no one could have imagined at that time. \nThis Memorial Day celebration is an excellent opportunity to invite someone currently enlisted or a military veteran.
