Join us in the #Word365 journey again!

We have decided to do read through the Bible as a church again in 2017! This year we are shaking it up a bit by using a new full-year plan called the “Life Journal Plan” that is again found on the YouVersion Bible app and on the Olive Tree Bible software. One more thing.. we will use the hashtag #word365 again to funnel all our stories and testimonies into a common place.

What Reading Plan Is It?

The Life Journal Reading plan was developed by Wayne Cordeiro and is designed to help you read through the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice each year. For journals and related resources, visit

How Can I Stay Connected?

If you’ve never read through your Bible all the way, and even if you have, we cannot emphasize the importance of sharing the journey with someone else. The goal of Bible reading is to get to know God better by spending time with him, but often we get distracted by life. When we share our plans with others, they are there to help encourage and help us to carry on. We are going to be implementing several different ways to make that easy for you over the year, but a couple of really great things in place already:

  • Join a Life Group! This is probably the best way to find a group of people that will positively encourage you throughout the year in your Bible Reading Plan. Many of the groups are even carving out a portion of their time every time they meet to allow anyone that wants to share things they’ve come across in their Bible reading with the rest of the group. Even if you don’t want to share in a group like that, this small group setting will be such a help to you.
  • #word365 – Yes, that’s right, a hashtag is going to help you with sharing your journey with someone else! Throughout the year, there are going to be a number of people that are using the #word365 hashtag to share things that they have learned in their Bible reading. Don’t be shy, just jump right on in the conversation on your favorite social network (ok, just the big ones like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and maybe even Google+).
