March 14 - May 31
Seemingly overnight, the entire world has been thrust into a place of great need. Emotionally, society is experiencing fear and panic, but on a deeper level, mankind is being reminded of the frailty of life. The mission of the church is and has always been to step into these storms and act as the hands and feet of Christ. As a local extension of Jesus in Rochester, it is our desire to have open eyes and hearts to those around us as we build bridges into the lives of others.
We recognize there are many in our community who cannot get out as easily as others to acquire basic necessities, so here is what we’re doing:
IN NEED OF HELP?
Do you personally need groceries or toiletries and can’t get out to get them? Know of someone in need nearby you’d like for us to be aware of?
WANT TO HELP – There are two ways!
1. You can sign up below to be put on a list to bring essential needs to someone in need.
2. serveROC Food Drop-Off – You can help us build pantry boxes to restock family shelves for those who cannot safely make it to the grocery store or who could use some help.
On Mondays and Thursdays from 4-6 pm, we are hosting our “drive-through drop-off” at FBBC south entrance loop. Simply pull up along the sidewalk and unload – no extra human contact! Our volunteers will move your supplies and begin sorting.
Items you can donate:
- boxes of pasta, pasta sauce
- mac n cheese
- canned vegetables, beans
- canned soup
- canned fruits
- peanut butter and jelly
- liquid hand soap, bleach
- toilet paper, paper towels
Does your neighborhood have an app to stay connected? Now is a perfect time to solicit needs and prayer requests! These are great opportunities to express our desire to make a difference and show the love of Christ.
