Serve
First Bible Baptist Church runs on volunteers. There are hundreds of volunteers that serve God in some capacity at First Bible on a weekly basis. There are opportunities for those who like to work with children, those who don’t, those who are techies, and those who prefer to remain behind the scenes. If you have the time and a willing heart, we have a place for you.
Key Details for Serving at First Bible:
There are some “fine print” essentials that anyone who wants to serve here at First Bible must read. We have guidelines for every area of service to ensure that everyone involved in our ministry is committed to being part of our faith community, and is properly equipped to serve.
1- Attend First Bible for at least six months. A person can become a member at any point, but they still must attend First Bible’s church services regularly for at least 6 months before serving. This provides adequate time for the church members, church leaders, and the individual to meet and get to know one another.
2- Become a member of FBBC. Membership is as simple as completing a Membership Matters Class at FBBC, and agreeing to and signing the commitment card.
3- Complete Reducing the Risk (RTR). This includes a video, a review test that must be passed with 70% or greater, and submitting to and passing a background check. FBBC employs an outside company to fulfill the background check process. Volunteers must renew RTR every four years.
4- Submit an annual digital volunteer application.
