SERVING WITH US AT FIRST BIBLE
First Bible Baptist Church runs on volunteers. We are blessed to have hundreds of people serve with us each week. There are a wide variety of places to serve, no matter where your interest lies- from kids ministry to serving in the Cafe, or joining the maintenance team. If you have a willing heart, we have a place for you!
Things to know:
Because we love our kids & families and prioritize safety, we have guidelines that everyone serving must follow. These ensure our volunteers are committed and equipped.
1- Become a member of FBBC
Membership is required for anyone wanting to regularly serve. Becoming a member is as simple as attending a Membership Luncheon and agreeing to, and signing the commitment card. Membership lets us know who is committed to the First Bible family.
2- Attend First Bible for at least six months
Even if you become a member, you must attend First Bible’s church services regularly for at least 6 months before serving. This is so you get to know us, and we get to know you. In addition, you must be an active member for one year prior to serving in ministries with children.
3- Submit an annual digital volunteer application
All volunteers must fill out the Annual Volunteer Application (see the “Adult Sign-Up” button below). This application is valid for 365 days, covers all FBBC ministries, and goes into effect once the volunteer process is complete and you are approved to serve. You fill out one application no matter how many places you are serving.
4- Complete the Protect My Ministry process (PMM)
This training to prevent sexual abuse includes watching a video, taking and passing a review test with 70% or greater, and submitting to and passing a background check. FBBC employs an outside company to fulfill the background check process. Volunteers must renew PMM every four years. Minors who wish to serve must watch the video with their parents.
** Please Note**
Non-members of FBBC who desire to serve at the SportsPark or for Summer’s Best Days must fill out a volunteer application and include a pastoral email so we can contact your pastor for a reference.
